YASHA Hope Centre - 6 new boys rescued from the Streets - Wed, 30 MAY 2012

DAY 1 WITH THE NEW BOYS

Joseph & Martin standing at my car window in town ... begging me to take them to school.
At that moment one is confronted with this thought :
What potential is locked up in this kid that is standing in front of me. Can the emptiness in their eyes be replaced with hope and dreams of a better tomorrow?

Here they are at our home ... 6 street kids whom the Lord had appointed for a time like this ...

Kemboi cutting his long nails.

Eating a good plate of "ugali and secuma" (maize porridge and kales).

Oscar (appr 7yrs old) has stolen my heart ... He is definitely the most traumatized of them all.

Sharing some wisdom around the table.

The very 1st evening in our home ... We had to burn some of their clothes as they literally had millions of mites on them. Can you imagine a kid on the street getting bitten every day and every night?
Question : What are we going to do about it ...
