We had a good Merit Shop on Friday. The students from Nakuru were especially surprised to see how their efforts during the month had been rewarded. We try to save where we can, or to at least get sponsorship on certain items. To have a “proper shop” for around 80 students are becoming more and more of a challenge. Because of the fact that most of our children cannot afford basic toiletries or even the stationary they need for school, we feel compelled to continue with this monthly blessing.

In the Merit Shop we “sell” things like mini boxes of Breakfast Cereal, hand lotion, glycerin for the girl’s hair, key holders, juice, biscuits, pads for the bigger girls, roll-on, colour pencils and all kinds of stationary.
